Lack of Physical Activity as a Cause of Constipation
There are many other reasons why a person may suffer constipation. Constipation is not a disease but a symptom and there are times that constipation could be a sign of the more complicated and serious disease.
It is one of the most common gastrointestinal problems worldwide and it victim knows no age or gender. Everyone in all walks of life may suffer this problem and this is because of the following:

- Lack of Physical Activity as a Cause of Constipation – when a person lacks physical activity, the digestive rhythm of a person will be affected. Exercise will promote better digestion so it is a must that everyone must do it. Exercise is not so hard to do and it only takes you some of your will and determination to do it constantly and properly.
- Lack of Dietary Fiber as a Cause of Constipation – fibers are known to be helpful in proper digestion it adds bulk to the fecal matter as well as help absorb fluids in the colon. Fiber consumption is very important to prevent constipation and promote proper digestion.
- Ignoring the Urge to defecate as a Cause of Constipation – when you feel like defecating, you must defecate. Holding the urge to defecate in longer time is more likely to cause constipation due to its effect in absorption and re-absorption of fluid in the colon.
- Change in diet as a Cause of Constipation – it is not always that our body can instantly adapt to our diet. It may take time before our body gets use to foods that you don’t normally eat. When you change your diet, it may affect your metabolism as it may destroy normal digestive rhythm causing you to experience constipation.
- Aging as a Cause of Constipation – aging is another cause of constipation. When a person gets old, there are a lot of lifestyle changes that may happen to him or her. Aging may cause a person lack of nervous feeling and the urge to defecate may not be felt. Aging may also affect digestion as teeth may not be very efficient in old people and chopping of foods in the mouth will not be properly done.
These are some of the causes of constipation. Lack of physical activity as a cause of constipation is probably the most unusual and we often take for granted. Proper body movement matters in most of the time.
Human body is design to be continually moving and being used. Exercise also, will not only promote a healthy digestive rhythm but also more of other benefits. Constant exercise makes your body become fit and healthy.
Exercise in the deeper understanding will allow your muscles to be stretched and stimulates the muscle to contract. When this happens, it sends signal to the brain and it helps the expulsion of human wastes. Regular expulsion of human waste will help you get rid of constipation as well as allow you to experience a relaxing feeling.
